So on Tuesday my Into to Photography class venture out to Nashville and let me tell you it was an adventure. We all got a little turned around and everyone end up following me because I had a GPS that showed us where to go.

But all in all it was a good excursion and I got several good shots. (Hope you enjoyed the pictures above.)

This weeks assignments is free shooting. We take take pictures of whatever we want to. We also have to finish up the vowels and where we think we'll be in 5-10 years. So assignments aren't too bad this week.

So in computer class we were give an assignment to retouch old photos. I choose pictures of G'pa since I had them on my computer from making the video. It's not what I expected the assignment to be. We had to color most of the picture and I wish I could have only colored the truck/car. But I gotta do what the assignment is. (As you can see from the pictures posted above!)

Mid-terms went well. I passed which is good. Only 4 weeks of classes left. It's gone by so fast.

So Thursday, In Nature class we went on a field trip to do "grunge" pictures but ended up in the ghetto. It was quite interesting and entertaining to see how we all reacted to it. We found the burnt down structure that had some short of junk yard next to it that was cool.

We had a lot of fun and decided to use this guy from the class as a model to try out our portrait skills.

So my assignments for the next few weeks is to take pictures of vowels (still), shadows, red, and where we envision our selves in 10 years. Not quite sure what I'll do for this. If anyone has some suggest of things or words that start with the vowels will be a lot of help.

Tuesday in Intro to Photography, we will be traveling to Nashville to complete that assignment. So, I hope to get some those pictures posted when it's finished.

So Mid-terms are over and all went well. Back to shoot pictures like crazy.

My photography teachers have assigned some of the weirdest assignments. I have to take pictures of how I see myself and how others see (character traits). Then after that assignment, there is the assignment to take pictures of what the colors in the rainbow represent to me. The third assignment is to take pictures of things that start with the vowels (a,e,i,o,u, and sometimes y). And these assignments are just for my Intro to Photography class.

For Nature I have to take pictures of things that are the color red. I also have to go to Nashville and take pictures and organize them as I view/see the city as (like what I think it's main purpose/thing that draws people to it).

So my imagination has to be working overtime. Sometimes its hard to come up with ideas, but as my Intro teacher said I just have to view the world as if I am always looking through a camera and envision what that image would look like. Hopefully I think of creative places to take the pictures.

Half Way Through First Semester

So I've made it through the fist half of my first semester at art school and I absolutely loved it. I know this is where I am supposed to be. I have a since of belong for the first time in a very long time. It's been great. I've made several friends that are in everyone of my classes and will be in all of my classes until I graduate in 2011. Wow!! It's hard to believe that in a little less than 2 years I'll be done and have my degree.
So far classes have been great. I'm taking Intro to Digital Photography, Color/Nature Photography, and Computer. It's so much fun in the photography classes because we mainly shoot the entire class and class is 4 hrs. long. Time files by though and it doesn't seem like I've been in class that long when it's over.
I got a new camera when i start at the school and it is amazing. I never knew that the camera could make a difference on the picture but it does. So I am going to post some pictures that I have taken so far this semester and hopefully each week I'll come back and post more as I am given new assignments.
